I’ve been waiting to post on this book till I could read it, but thus far I’m swamped! You’ll have to take my kids’ word for it! Thankfully, Nadine Brandes is known for her strong faith and clean ya content, so I was confident handing this much anticipated read to my teenage son.
If you remember from my ig story, my oldest son (15) tore through this book in just a couple days. Every spare moment found him tucked in corner, couch, or in the car pouring through this story.
Our oldest Vanessa (17) is a pretty quick reader, so it’s no surprise she also finished quite fast. Both really enjoyed it and want me to read it (which I will, one day!).
They said the world-building was intriguing and the pacing was really good. Obviously, they both enjoyed it enough to keep turning those pages, and I was super thankful to see them have a book to talk about together!
Turns out, Nadine actually had teen boys in mind when writing this fast-paced adventure! The attention grabbing plot paid off and the execution was well-loved.
