Even better, in your hands, on your bedside table, or in your overstuffed diaper bag.😁 Written as a homeschooling mom, Cindy’s book speaks straight to the heart of our misgivings and and overlooked needs with her realistic charm and humor, reminding us that “moms are people too.”
Homeschooler or not, we often forget to invest and take care of the creation God made us to be because we’re so busy pouring out and taking care of the needs of others. However, Cindy isn’t talking about the world’s version of self-care, but rather, as believers, being good stewards of the mind, body, and soul the Spirit of God dwells in.
I highyly recommend this one. I will be re-reading it and keeping it handy, not only for Cindy’s practical encouragements and insight, but also for the fantastic book lists at the end of each chapter.
Are you not a mommy yet, but hope to be someday? You will gain from this.
Not a mom, but feeling like you’ve lost who God made you to be? It would still be a great read, as long as you don’t mind the mommy-ing examples.
This is a book from a beautiful, wise woman to younger-than moms who are just starting out or in the thick of it. Buy this for yourself and buy it for a friend. This one is a gem.
